The art of connecting with millions of people has always amazed me. After 3 years of learning how to make these connections, here is what I have to offer.
Illustrations
These are just a few of my creations in Illustrator. Before school, I never knew I was capable of this, so I'm just a little proud.
Design
The more I learned about design, the more I came to love Typography. I try to take on typography projects so that I can better my skills in that area.
Other
I like to think of myself as a creative person, inside and outside of school and work. These are just a few things I've done on the side.

My Philosophy

Never give up, it will all pay off in the end.

Growing up, my parents never tried to force me to become a lawyer, or a doctor. They always encouraged me to find something I wanted to do. Every year or so my dad would randomly come up to me and ask "what do you want to be when you grow up?" As a kid it went from a ballerina, to a teacher. But I had never found something that I loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. The one thing I knew I wanted to avoid was Math. We aren't very good friends. I never gave up the hunt for what I wanted to do. One day, after a brutal 2 years of taking GEs from SDSU, I finally found the Advertising program and with it I found great friends, good teachers and an amazing new found love for all things design. I haven't looked back since.

My Mission

To find a place in life that allows me to be a kid in a grown up world.

A very important lesson I learned growing up is to not take life too seriously. No one knows what they are doing. Everyone is doing it for the first time, just like you. Its okay to be silly, laugh at yourself and mess up. Its how you handle the tasks thrown at you that separates you from the rest. I like to think of myself as a positive person. I try really hard not to let the little things in life bring me down because that is time you can't get back. Enjoy the life you are given.

Anza Borrego

Advertising

California's biggest state park has a lot to offer. Using this as my big idea, I wanted to attract children and get them excited to look for their own adventure using the map of Anza Borrego. The objective is to increase traffic from a younger crowd, including families with younger children.

The concept behind this campaign was to inspire grown men and women to inspire their inner child. With this campaign, you can turn your every day car into a Hotwheels.

The concept was based on a new approach using imagination to promote their product. Without using a dream land type of approach, imagination was still the focus of this direct mail piece.

Ringling and Barnum Brothers

Advertising

This outdoor campiagn is playing on the fact that the Ringling and Barnum Brothers Circus is one of the biggest circus', by showing that one act doesnt fit in one frame.

The campaign reaches a wide target market, both male and female, ages 20-40.This market had been exposed to MTV and computers throughout the majority of their lifetime. Multitasking is second nature and this campaign was designed to peak interest in history without using images.

French Kiss

Design

The objective for the project was to rebrand the Le Chef Patisserie truffles. The truffles are simple, fresh and all natural; it was important that the art direction showed the products organic quality, while still being relatable to a younger market.

Design

The client wanted a redesign for OysterFest, a one day music festival in San Fransisco. They are known for their famous Oysters, beer and good music. I designed this 'survival pack' for the event.

This was my first real project using illustrator. At the time, it was a huge task for me. I was, and still am, very proud of this project.
Back to the Future

Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies, so I jumped on the opportunity to illustrate a movie poster. This is what I came up with.

We were given the task to illustrate a portrait of someone we knew using a photo we had taken of them. I chose to illustrate my cousin, Diego, as a stormtrooper as a gift for his birthday.
Beauty and the Beast

Any opportunity I have, I like to make my space fit my personality. I took one of my breaks from schook and decided to try my hand in something new. I took on the challenge of painting a mural on my wall of one of my favorite images from beauty and the beast.
